Polhemsgatan 38, Stockholm

Typical for this popular area is the most asked for style of the Swedish "funkis" with the functional and light style that bares it's roots from architects such as Le Corbusier and Mies Van Der Rohe.

Before carefully planning the renovation it was hard to imagine that we could almost double the work area and the storage space from its original design. Although very carefully done with vital elements kept from its original style.

On the left a big storage unit was custom made based on squares 24" times 24" with integrated fridge and oven, placed for full depth with a feeling that the unit is extruded from the wall. All in a silver walnut.

The other side has a no joint feeling with a cast sink and a one piece countertop and walls in white Carrera marble. The lamp above the stove top house a touch controlled fan.
