Officeline, Stockholm

For the first time ever, an office chair developed and adapted specifically for women is being presented.

The Swedish company Officeline is behind the project, which is based on a study examining the sitting posture of women compared to that of men.

Lei is revolutionizing the market; it has an innovative design solution, which offers support for the lumbar vertebrae and the curve of the spine. Moreover, it provides an innovative adjustment method, hidden under the chair’s seat. In place of hard-to-maneuver levers, It offers an easy-to-use adjustment button, rather like the scroll wheel on a computer mouse.

It has been a challenge developing a chair to match such precise ergonomic demands. Lei is one of the most technically advanced projects I have worked on thus far. It has challenged and obliged us to master new design solutions.
